Bridge4Bio goes for growth

Kensington, CA, United States, December 18, 2008 - Bridge4Bio, LLC announced that it has added three consultants to its consulting group. Bridge4Bio was founded in July of this year to address consulting needs for small to medium sized companies in biotech and the life sciences. The company is based in Kensington, California.

In explaining the additions of his consultants, Douglas said, “It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I confirm the addition of three talented senior consultants to Bridge4Bio. Each brings marketing and scientific prowess to assist current and future clients, and each is based outside the US and thus this expands Bridge4Bio’s reach in Asia and Europe. We work very well as a team, and our clients will benefit from their experience and talents.”

Bertil Djupsund has more than 35 years of experience in electrophoresis-based protein separation and purification. Bertil has a MSc. in Cell Biology from Åbo Akademi, Finland, where he first worked as a scientist in this field at both universities in Turku. He later joined the leading-edge institutions in Swedish industrial electrophoresis, LKB, Pharmacia and Amersham Biosciences, holding positions in sales and marketing. Bertil acted as European sales and marketing manager for Hoefer until he joined Bridge4Bio. He is based in Sweden.

Malcolm Lee is a graduate biologist with more than 30 years experience in the scientific instrumentation industry. Malcolm has a comprehensive sales and marketing background on a worldwide basis, working at the director level for Thermo Electron and more recently Biochrom Ltd. He has established worldwide distribution, been instrumental in taking new technologies to market and been directly involved in acquisitions. Malcolm is based in the United Kingdom.

Aditya Senguptha contributes 14 years of business experience and eight years of research and postdoctoral experience to the team. He worked at Bio-Rad in the life science business, developing expertise in proteomics, micro array, multiplexing and imaging technology. Aditya additionally brings senior management experience from working at Millipore as a national sales manager, developing further knowledge in drug discovery and sample preparation. Aditya has a PhD. in Molecular Biology from Calcutta University and is based in Bangalore, India.

Douglas added, “The combined experience of these senior consultants, along with Ramana Tadepalli, our vice president, gives Bridge4Bio a global presence. We will continue to add consultants when we find the right combination of experience in life science sectors that our clients need assistance in.
